Leather boots are associated with war and physical strength, and have a strong sexual appeal for both men and women. The boot-clad men in homosexual erotica are muscular and bursting with sexual prowess, while uniformed men in boots combine illicit desire and danger. Riding boots even have a fetishist following. Boots are perhaps the only footwear with such universal erotic appeal.
