Just as in Paris, France in 1968, students in Mexico rose up in protest against their government's political and social policies. The Mexican student uprising was remorselessly stopped under orders by President Gustavo Diaz Ordaz. This poster's background of French and Spanish newspaper clippings makes clear the spirit of protest that linked the Parisian and Mexican students.
