Hand-knotted carpet of jute warp, biding wefts and woollen pile. The carpet is woven with approximately five Turkish knots to the inch.
The field design shows a net ogee repeating framework composed of leafy stems with large full-headed Tudor roses at intersections, interspersed with trailing fuschia stems of flowers. The design is woven in yellow, blue, red, cream, shades of orangey-pink and green on a pale green ground.
The border is in the same colourshceme as the field and shows a specially designed matching pattern of Tudor roses with rose buds and trailing leafy stems. There are three inner guard stripes of blue, pink and yellow. The outer guard stripes are in orangey-pink, cream and a broader outer border in dark green.
