ca. 1977 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

In Southern Rhodesia (renamed Zimbabwe after the first multi-racial elections in 1977) the government of Ian Smith clung to white minority rule despite international condemnation. The Zimbabwe African People's Union and the Zimbabwe African National Union formed a 'Patriotic Front' and waged a guerrilla war against Smith's government. Such fighters are illustrated here. The poster reflects widespread censure of the Rhodesian government, and itself supports the politically radical solution.
