Object history
This costume was worn by Paul Nicholas as Christ in the London premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's musical 'Jesus Christ Superstar', Palace Theatre, 9th August 1972. The production was directed by Jim Sharman, the scenery was designed by Brian Thomson, and the costumes were designed by Gabriella Falk.
