Bibliographic reference | In this edition, no lithographer is named, which suggests that Preziosi himself may have been responsible for the lithography. There were a number of editions, with slight variations. The 1858 edition apparently appeared in two versions, one with an English title page (as here) and another with a French title page (see Colas, 1933, No.2422). In 1861, another edition was printed, with the name of Jules Ma added as lithographer (see VAM, DPD), while a further edition appeared in 1882 (see BL and Colas, 1933). See VAM, The People & Places Of Constantinople, 1985, p.54. |
