This illustration was used for the Merchant’s Tale within Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales which was engraved by J. K. Sherwin, 1787.
The original study for this subject is in the collection of William Smith, Esq., F.S.A., which was presented by him to the South Kensington Museum.
