Earthenware figure group of two infant gardeners made at Cozzi pottery factory, Venice, late 18th century
Production Note
Acquired as Southern French, 18th century. A note in the register in Arthur Lane's hand observes that 'the style of the modelling, the tree behind, and the tone of green recall porcelain of the Cozzi factory, Venice, which also made faïence and cream-coloured earthnenware were also made.' Relabelled Italian, Venice, late 18th century.
